Wetland Delineation & Mitigation

Ecolution delivers wetland delineation and mitigation support for projects ranging from small parcels to large, complex landscapes. Services span delineation, rating, mitigation planning, compliance monitoring, and regulatory negotiation, with a focus on practical solutions that meet permitting requirements while protecting wetland functions and values.

Satsop River Floodplain Restoration Project

Ecolution delineated and rated wetlands across a 150-acre portion of the Chehalis Wildlife Area for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Dr. Tyler worked with WDFW engineers to support restoration design and selection of a preferred alternative at this former gravel quarry site. Ecolution also prepared local, state, and federal permits, including biological evaluations, and negotiated mitigation requirements with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology.

Blue Slough Wetland Delineation and Mitigation

Ecolution delineated wetlands and identified mitigation options for a Grays Harbor County Public Works road improvement project adjacent to the Chehalis River Surge Plain Natural Area Preserve. The work included coordination with the Washington Department of Natural Resources to align mitigation goals with preserve management objectives, as well as completion of biological evaluations and habitat assessments for listed species, including marbled murrelet. Ecolution secured all required county, state, and federal permits and negotiated mitigation requirements with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology.

Shire Salmon Habitat Restoration

Ecolution has supported a multi-phase salmon habitat restoration project along the Columbia River Gorge shoreline since 2013. Services have included wetland delineation, instream and riparian habitat assessment, groundwater study support, and environmental permitting across multiple project phases. Most recently, Ecolution is providing environmental analysis and permitting for planned construction in 2026.
