Environmental Analysis & Compliance

Ecolution provides environmental analysis and regulatory compliance services for projects requiring coordination across multiple agencies and statutes. Expertise includes NEPA and SEPA review, Endangered Species Act consultation, Clean Water Act permitting, and related approvals, with an emphasis on clear documentation that streamlines agency review and decision-making.

Icicle Creek Habitat Improvement Project

Ecolution supported multiple phases of a complex, multi-jurisdictional fish passage improvement project for Trout Unlimited in Chelan County. Work included preparation of biological assessments and coordination with federal, state, and local agencies to support improvements restoring access to more than 50 miles of habitat for listed fish. The project involved significant logistical and environmental challenges, including infrastructure relocation, in-water construction, and work adjacent to a national fish hatchery.

Wetlands, Environmental Compliance, and Permitting – Local Government Public Works

Dr. Tyler has completed environmental permitting for multiple road safety and public works projects for Grays Harbor County. These projects required coordination across a broad range of regulatory frameworks, including NEPA/SEPA, ESA, Clean Water Act, Shorelines Management Act, and related federal, state, and local requirements. Ecolution’s work supported efficient project delivery while ensuring environmental compliance.

Critical Area Review and Compliance – Thurston County Landowners

Ecolution assists individual landowners with critical area review and regulatory compliance related to wetlands, fish and wildlife habitat, and listed species. Dr. Tyler provides clear guidance on legal requirements and land management actions that support habitat protection while allowing reasonable property use. Recent work has included identification and protection of rare species such as Olympic mudminnow and blunt-leaved pondweed.

Wetland Mitigation Effectiveness Monitoring

Ecolution has served as project manager and lead scientist for wetland mitigation effectiveness monitoring at multiple sites in Grays Harbor County. Services included wetland delineation, development and implementation of monitoring plans, data analysis, and preparation of compliance reports reviewed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Ecolution also advised on adaptive management actions, including invasive species control.
